For reasons that only a few people will understand, but which will take too long to go in to here (next time it’s a dark and stormy night, ask me to tell ye the tale…), I found this discovery by the Vandermeers in their latest expedition in the incredible repository of paperback entertainments, the Chamblin Book Mine in Jacksonville, both extremely amusing and frightening.

I look forward to the story, but the reviews say it’s a Le Carre-ish romp, W.W. Jacobs must be spinning in his grave.

Ah, no. That was the Monkey’s Paw. Different kettle of fist altogether.
The Monkey’s Fist is, like, an order of magnitude more devastating.

Yep, I knew he wrote “the paw”, but I tell you, once those monkey’s master those ninja skills it could be a whole new world disorder.
