Stunned, not to say delighted, this morning to discover that The Moon King has been shortlisted for the 2015 British Fantasy Award for Best Fantasy Novel. It’s in wonderful company, and from past experience I reckon the jury have a very interesting discussion ahead of them.

I’m now going to Not Think About It until the winner is announced at Fantasycon at the end of October, but I want to register my utter delight that Hal Duncan’s short story collection, Scruffians, Stories of Better Sodomites, and non-fiction book about writing, Rhapsody, Notes on Strange Fictions, have both been justly recognised in their respective categories. They are both superb books, and I recommend you go find them and buy them and enjoy the hell out of them.
